Communication plays a crucial role in shaping the identity and impact of our college, and many of our faculty and staff contribute to this effort alongside their other responsibilities. The All-Comm Summit is a full-day event designed to bring together our communicators—whether communication is a primary focus or just one of many hats you wear. Join this day of engaging sessions and networking opportunities to gain practical insights, celebrate your accomplishments, and strengthen our college’s collective communication efforts.

In this session, we’ll highlight outstanding design examples from the past year, showcasing how communicators have effectively applied branding principles to create engaging content. We’ll also unveil new Canva templates and design elements that will help streamline your workflow while ensuring brand alignment. Whether you’re a design beginner or just looking to refine your skills, this session will equip you with the tools and inspiration to enhance your visual storytelling. | |

In this session, we’ll walk you through the entire process—from crafting compelling content and creating eye-catching assets to strategically distributing promotions across various channels. 12:50 p.m. | Foundations of Website Editing | Websites are a key channel for marketing and communication, and ensuring they are user-friendly and up to date is essential. In this session, we’ll cover best practices for web editing, including tips for maintaining content accuracy, accessibility, and readability. We’ll also walk through the new additions to the Website section of our Brand Guide, giving you updated resources to keep your site consistent with our college’s visual and messaging standards. We’ll also highlight some of the recent website updates, showing examples of how thoughtful edits can enhance the user experience. Plus, we’ll go over the new process for updating faculty office hours across all our academic websites. | |
1:15 p.m. | Brand Scavenger Hunt: Find Our Identity Across Campus | Get ready to put your observational skills to the test in this fun, interactive scavenger hunt! We’ll provide a list of brand elements and colors, and your task will be to find them “in the wild” around campus. As you explore, you’ll see how our brand is represented in the physical and digital spaces across the college. The team with the most items checked off the list wins a prize—and of course, bragging rights for being the top brand sleuths! | |
2:00 p.m. | Awards: Celebrating Your Contributions | We’re closing out the summit with an opportunity to recognize the incredible work our communicators do every day. First, we’ll announce the winners of the Brand Scavenger Hunt and celebrate their eagle eyes for brand elements across campus. Then, we’ll announce the winners of our special awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in various categories. These awards honor the creative, impactful, and consistent work that communicators have put in throughout the year, and serve as a reminder of how vital their efforts are to our college’s success. | |
